Cornell University sponsors a program called Main Street Science. Main Street Science serves the needs of the K-12 students and advances the science literacy of the general public through the development of hands-on science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) activities. Main Street Science provides lesson plans on cantilevers, diatoms, microscopy and scale, motors, sunprint paper and photolithography, sodium alginate polymers, and chromatography.
